i noticed some cobwebs under the shelf over the sink, and the shelves on the cabinets needed a wipe. there was also some mold by the window and a bit of dust. a small bin with a lid in the bathroom would have been nice.

dusty furniture bar noise
I was frustrated with a couple of things . The room was not properly cleaned upon arrival. I noticed a significant amount of dust on the furniture. the noise from the nearby bar area was disruptive, especially in the evening. I could clearly hear conversations and music, and , made it difficult to relax and get a good night's sleep (I wish I had brought earplugs).

The food was great, especially the tasty pub grub. I found the staff friendly. They were really approachable. The location worked perfectly, with lots of shelves for storage! I loved the peaceful courtyard setting near a nice pub.

the room was a good size.
The location was a bit further from the town centre than i expected. the steep hill made walking difficult. i also found the room wasn't as clean as it should have been. There were cobwebs everywhere. breakfast was also extra, a tenner each, which i thought was a bit much.

Acceptable stay with minor issues

helpful staff tea bags garden area cobweb issue tea facilities toilet roll
The staff were helpful . I appreciated the provision of tea bags and milk with the kettle. The garden area outside the stable block where my room was located was quite charming.
My room was full of cobwebs. They had clearly been there for a while, indicating a lack of attention to detail in cleaning. To top up tea and coffee making facilities, I had to go to the bar. I also needed a toilet roll, a request I would have preferred not to make in a public bar setting.
